Companies can add some fun to an employee’s workday with inexpensive perks which can serve as small tokens of appreciation and make employees feel more valued. Employers can consider bringing in homemade goodies to distribute to their employees, providing hand written thank you notes expressing appreciation for a job well done, creating a bulletin board to display positive feedback from customers about specific employees, creating an “Employee of the Month” prime parking space, or creating a monthly lunch program with one of the company executives. Rewarding and recognizing employees will help keep them motivated and happy at work.
